Job Description:

Duties: Provides data analysis leadership on complex systems analysis

projects, often across subsystems and companies, in a matrix organization.

Consults with business to develop a central data warehouse to be used to

support the implementation of information security controls across the

business, including developing ETL capabilities. Performs data mining and

data analysis using Oracle, SQL server, and NoSQL database.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assesses all project information requirements and impact to the

database/file and technology platform.

• Provides technical leadership for execution of data analysis and

evaluation of data models on large and complex projects.

• Identifies opportunities to use and enhance the enterprise data

model.

• Assesses data design recommendations made by other analysts and

recommends data design changes to complex, interrelated data designs to

achieve complicated requirements and improve performance.

• Assists in definition of data governance model to operationalize

data standards.

• Assesses objectives, use cases, information requirements, and data

specifications.

• Mentors and provides guidance and training to team members.

• Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects.

• Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for

projects.

• Resolves project data issues and data issues that span subsystems.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering,

Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a

closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered

or five (5) years of experience performing data mining and data analysis

within a financial and product services securities environment; Or,

alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,

Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of

experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience performing

data mining and data analysis within a financial and product services

securities environment. Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise

(“DE”) coordinating Oracle, SQL server, and NoSQL database (Rethink

database) development, including writing stored procedures, functions, and

indexes; conducting performance tuning (SQL Profiler and SP Trace); and

performing production support and maintenance support of a three-tier

vendor system; DE along the entire data lifecycle within the financial

services industry, including performing data analysis, data mapping, and

data acquisition, using Transact-SQL/PL-SQL code, impact analysis, data

transformation, and distribution with ETL Tools -- Informatica and SSIS; DE

designing and testing business intelligence solutions for reporting and

data warehousing applications, using JavaScript, .NET, C#, and Transact-

SQL/PL-SQL programming; DE gathering business requirements from

stakeholders and translating into system requirements and technical

specifications, using pseudo code and UML diagrams or Visio, according to

Agile methodologies.
