Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in an elementary school setting in Hickory, NC, running through the current school year contract. This role focuses on supporting students with exceptionalities, providing tailored instruction and conducting assessments to meet individual educational needs. Responsibilities include: - Delivering specialized instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) - Conducting assessments, testing, and developing IEPs collaboratively with the educational team - Managing an elementary or high school caseload, depending on assignment - Implementing cross-categorical special education strategies within the general curriculum - Monitoring student progress and modifying instructional approaches as needed Qualifications: - Experience working as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary or high school setting - Knowledge of EC (Exceptional Children) special education regulations and practices - Ability to conduct educational assessments and prepare detailed reports - Proficiency in developing and implementing effective IEPs - Strong communication and collaboration skills for interacting with educators, parents, and students Location: Hickory, North Carolina Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, 37.5 hours per week Contract Duration: Current school year through May 27, 2026 This position requires a dedicated educator ready to create inclusive learning environments that support students academic and social development.
