Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1 years
Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.

considered. An opportunity is available for a full-time Teacher of
the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to provide specialized
instruction within a K-12 public school setting in Concord, NC.
This contract position follows a school-based schedule, offering
approximately 40 hours per week to support a caseload of 1012
students. The role requires an on-site presence to deliver
dedicated services aligned with individualized education plans
(IEPs) and North Carolinas academic standards. Key
Responsibilities: - Deliver Special Education instruction based on
the NC Standard Course of Study and in accordance with each
students IEP - Develop and implement lesson plans with
differentiated strategies tailored to learners who are deaf or hard
of hearing - Conduct necessary screenings and evaluations to
monitor educational progress and identify student needs - Actively
participate in IEP meetings, contributing to the development of
present levels, goals, and service plans - Manage classroom
behavior to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment -
Maintain thorough documentation including notes, summaries, and IEP
compliance records - Collaborate effectively with faculty, support
staff, and families to enhance student outcomes Qualifications and
Experience: - Valid North Carolina Department of Public Instruction
(NCDPI) DHH Professional Educators License is required (a
screenshot of the active license must be submitted) - Experience
teaching deaf and hard of hearing students in a K-12 setting -
Strong knowledge of Special Education compliance and IEP processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Ability to
work effectively with a diverse student population and school
community Location: - Concord, North Carolina (on-site only) This
