** Paid Training **Job Title: Low Voltage TechnicianLocation: Winston Salem, NCSalary: $55k - $80k annuallyType: W2 Low Voltage Technician Employee (not a contractor)Benefits: Health insurance, 401k, paid time off, paid training.What is a Low Voltage Technician? -A low voltage technician, also known as a low voltage electrician, is responsible for installing and maintaining low voltage electrical systems such as audio/visual systems, security systems, data networks, and fire alarm systems.We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team of technicians. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage electrical systems for residential and commercial customers.Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and troubleshoot low voltage electrical systems, including cable television, data networks, security systems, and fire alarms.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation diagrams.
  • Climb ladders and work in confined spaces to install and repair equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including explaining the low voltage systems and equipment to customers and answering their questions.
  • Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment while working.
  • Keep detailed records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent. An associates degree in electronics or related field is a bonus.
    • Valid driver's license and a work vehicle capable of safely carrying a 28' fiberglass ladder.
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience installing and repairing low voltage electrical systems.
    • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools.
    • Good communication skills and ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. -In order for a low voltage technician to be successful, they should possess the following characteristics:
    • Technical knowledge and skills: A successful low voltage technician should have a strong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and wiring techniques. They should also have experience with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of low voltage systems.
    • Attention to detail: Low voltage systems require precise installation and testing to ensure they function properly. A successful low voltage technician should have a keen attention to detail and be able to identify and correct errors and issues in their work.
    • Problem-solving skills: Low voltage systems can often present unique and complex problems. A successful low voltage technician should be able to analyze issues, develop solutions, and effectively resolve problems.
    • Physical dexterity: Low voltage technicians often work in tight spaces and must be able to maneuver themselves and their tools to access and install systems. They should also be physically fit, able to lift heavy equipment, and work in challenging environments.
