WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR: Mohawks Wood and Laminate division is looking for a passionate and driven Plant Manager to lead our Moldings manufacturing plant. The Plant Manager will need to have an entrepreneurial spirit and want to Innovate, Create, and Grow with us. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for providing proactive leadership and motivation with focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost to exceed the customer's expectations. Responsible for ensuring all plant goals and objectives around key performance indicator (KPI) targets are met/exceeded by driving daily continuous improvements throughout the Moldings manufacturing process. The Production Manager - Impregnation role is a key part of the Laminate Leadership Team and will report functionally to the Vice President of Manufacturing. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: * Manages Production, Maintenance and Engineering leaders/associates that support the Impregnation Department. * Drive daily continuous improvement within critical plant KPI's (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People), by consistently tracking the appropriate measures and driving appropriate response behaviors with a sense of urgency. * Passionately drive a high-performance work team to achieve breakthrough performance in Customer Excellence, Manufacturing Growth, Process Excellence, and a Culture of Outperformance. * Problem solve to Root Cause; implement corrective actions to eliminate recurrence. * Ensure the desired product quality levels are achieved through use of standard work and training to those standards, training in operation and inspection techniques, and use of tools/data. * Provides hands-on leadership to drive projects and continuous improvement efforts and incorporates feedback from internal customers. * Support and foster an environment of continuous improvement by encouraging associates to challenge existing processes and implement solutions that enhance the overall effectiveness of the operation. * Plans, manages, and adjusts workload and production schedules to optimize plant resources and meet scheduled production commitments. * Drive Culture Change - Lead root-cause elimination and data-based decision-making throughout the organization. * Safety First - Stimulate and cultivate "a zero-incident mentality" throughout the facility through employee engagement WHAT YOU BRING: * Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical field * 7+ years' experience Manufacturing Environment, preferable within a Process Industry * 2+ years of work experience in Continuous Improvement (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or Total Productive Maintenance) * Ability to motivate and energize through strong interpersonal and leadership skills. * Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong technical writing experience are required * Ability to synthesize data and summarize outcomes to provide recommendations on a path forward * Demonstrated ability to perform strategic planning, team building and operational excellence * Demonstrated ability to successfully execute responsibilities in a fast-pace environment, collaborating across multiple sites and stakeholders WHAT WE WILL BRING * A work environment built on teamwork, flexibility, and respect. * Professional growth and development programs to help advance your career, as well as tuition reimbursement. * Comprehensive health care and wellness plans for your entire family. * 401(k) Savings Plan * Paid holidays and paid time off. * Flexible spending accounts. * Relocation assistance (if applicable).
