Job Description:
(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Director of
Surgical Services - The Director of Surgical Services is
responsible for the scheduling, assessment, planning, and
evaluation of total care of patients during the pre-operative,
intra-operative and post-operative periods. Responsible for the
operation of the overall surgical schedule, Central Sterile Supply
Unit, and Recovery Room.
This position reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and is
a member of the leadership team of the hospital.
Job Requirements
Licensed as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of the Virginia
or Compact licensure which includes the Commonwealth of VA, and in
good standing with the Board.
Strongly prefer BSN.
BCLS required. ACLS and PALS preferred, CNOR preferred.
Three to five years in a staff RN role. Previous experience in a
supervisory-manager-director role is strongly preferred.
