Operations Manager

We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our growing team. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall supervision and responsibility for the shipping, receiving, maintenance, and dispatching operations, including duties and tasks relating to operations staff.

Job Type: Full Time, On-site (multi-location)

Responsibilities for the Operations Manager:

• Supervise and oversee direct reports inAssistant Ops, Yard Leaders, Material Handlers and the Shipping and Receiving Departments
• Monitor scheduling of daily assignments and OT hours
• Responsible for inventory accountability
• Advise General Manager on equipment recommendations for additions or replacements and help develop replacement schedules
• Coordinate repairs and PM service for all rolling stock and operations equipment
• Assist with implementing POS technology capabilities, to include utilizing Biztrack, GPS tracking, and video safety monitoring
• Troubleshooting and dealing with problems involving several variables around the yard
• Read and do takeoffs of complex material, blueprints, quotes and specs
• Calculating and using advanced math formulas for day-to-day operations Requirements of the Operations Manager:
  • Minimum 2-3+ years ofOperationsManagementand/orrelatedmanagementexperience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Associate degree or equivalent certification in related fields
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in CRT software and Microsoft Office Suite
