Job Description:

The of IT Infrastructure and Operations is responsible for infrastructure planning and operation of applications, infrastructure, telecom, information security, IT support services and service desk. This leadership position will drive the tactical direction of IT to define and deliver reliable, secure and scalable member and employee experience through IT systems, processes and other services. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Serves as member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) to direct the overall IT Infrastructure and Operations of the Credit Union through active participation with Senior Management, Board of Directors, external service organizations and vendors. Provides vision and manages daily operations of core infrastructure - including data center, computing, data and voice networks, storage, systems, and infrastructure services. Provides vision and manages daily operations of all application infrastructures that include environment engineering, DevOps, and production operations for enterprise applications and middleware. Increases adoption of incident/problem management, capacity management and availability management in partnership with key stakeholders. Responsible for End User services including 24x 7 support for applications and infrastructure, hardware (laptops, tablets, smart phones) and collaboration tools like email, spark, and others. Provides technical expertise and operational support to obtain highest degrees of production stability for internal and external consumers. Continuously monitors the adequacy and performance of existing systems and information management capabilities in light of member and organization needs. Ensures application and infrastructure service SLAs are established and service and operational metrics are collected and reviewed on a regular basis with CIO. Manages production technology incidents to resolution, ensuring timely engagement, escalation and effective communication to business, technology and vendor partners. Governs production code deployment through defined release management process. Leads the forum as the executive stakeholder to gauge risk to service and SLAs. Works with Manager, Information Security to implement security architecture that identifies the information security environment and controls to be implemented to protect organizational assets. Ensures legal and regulatory compliance requirements are met. Engages with project teams through the project lifecycle; manages deployments through development, testing and production to ensure successful delivery. Manages relationships with major vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organization. Provides ongoing direction to subordinate managers and supervisors to ensure resources are well coordinated and all issues are appropriately communicated. Keeps current with trends and issues in the IT industry including current technologies and prices; advises and educates executives on their competitive and/or financial impact. Actively promotes the mission of the Credit Union within the organization and throughout the communities served by the Credit Union. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must be knowledgeable of systems design & development, including core systems and enterprise-wide applications used in the financial services space as well as online applications, and web-based systems, voice and data communications technologies, security methodologies, open architecture systems, common programming languages, open-source software, business intelligence, and data analytics Must have familiarity with and experience in use of cloud-based systems including knowledge of security applications Must have knowledge of limitations of legacy core systems and interface requirements for operating key, best-in-class, non-core, support programs Must have knowledge of techniques designed to reduce frequency, duration, and impact of common business disruptions particularly as they relate to branch/contact center operations, electronic services and telecommunications Must have superior interpersonal skills; ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful, mature, flexible, and compassionate Must have in-depth knowledge of systems design methodologies, web and communications technologies, IT security methodologies, IT practices/trends in the financial services industry and operating policies Must have extensive knowledge of SQL, Oracle, .net, and open source programming Must have knowledge of non-traditional payment systems and internet mobile applications including advanced security features Must have strong project management skills including large system conversions and new system installations Must be able to build, retain and manage a highly-skilled and motivated team Must have ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence individuals at all levels in a matrix-management environment (as well as external vendors and service providers) to ensure that segregation and overlapping roles are identified and coordinated Must have affinity for mission-driven, consumer-centric strategic focus resulting in superior member service and valuable guidance Must have track record of successfully managing change, process improvement, and operational performance Must have strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills Must have ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation, or applicable law Must have strong budget management skills and ability to develop and obtain approval for significant business cases Must be able to identify and evaluate business threats and opportunities Must be able to work under pressure of time deadlines and in ambiguous circumstances Must be able to read, absorb and utilize numerous business-related publications and industry data Must be resourceful and well organized, with strong attention to detail Must be flexible and able to shift resources and priorities as required Must be able to maintain confidentiality Should possess a strong commitment to providing excellent service to Truliant's members
