Job Summary: The Chief Information Officer plays a critical role in overseeing the organization's technology-related strategies and initiatives by implementing innovative, efficient, and effective solutions that include data analytics and business intelligence, technology development and support, infrastructure, security and technical services. The CIO will report to the CEO, participate as a part of the Executive Leadership Team, and serve as a leader and innovator for the company's information technology department. The candidate must possess strong strategic and business acumen and be vocal and participatory in the organization's overall strategic direction. This position leads and directs a staff of full-time and contract employees responsible for supporting the technology needs of the company and its employees located throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities: Formulate the company's IT strategy and advise leadership on emerging technologies and platformsImplement data governance programsDrive organization to effective data management initiatives and creation of a strategy around data managementDirect and lead the analysis of complex business needs presented, and recommend appropriate business/technical solutionsEnsure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutionsIdentify cross functional technology platforms that work across global locationsEnsure Information Services aligns with the company's goalsStrategy for Technology Deployment and UtilizationDirection of Technology Infrastructure and ArchitectureDrive the design deployment and utilization of Communications, for data and voiceOverall Acquisition and/or Development of Application SystemsOversight of Information Services BudgetCommunication with other members of managementDevelops strategies to improve the efficiency and efficacy of technological initiativesReviews and negotiates vendor proposals and makes decisions based on things such as price, what they offer, and how the vendor product may fit into the organizationEnsures the company's data remains secure by keeping up to date on the latest cyber security threats and finds ways to guard against them on an organization-wide scaleOversees the development and testing of new programs developed specifically for the companyManaging performance and capacity that satisfies the business requirement for IT applicationsBuild and maintain teams of professionals that can meet business demand. Oversee staffing, career development, and motivation of a multi team environment.Drive the delivery of all activities such that the applications perform at a level to meet business service level agreements.Build and maintain relationships with key business stakeholdersPerform other duties as may be required by management Minimum Qualifications:Four-year degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent work experienceMore than fifteen years experience in Information Technology or Industry Ability manage multiple projects Ability to present to senior leadership team and senior managementExperience with Microsoft Dynamics preferredExcellent project management skillsExperience in IT infrastructure design, build, and supportExcellent vendor negotiation skillsStrong customer orientationAbility to lead and promote a team environmentDocumentation and communication skills to communicate technical information to non-technical peopleExceptional communication skills and ability to accomplish objectives across departments, organizations and levels within the organization Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:Regularly required to sit, talk, hear and reach with hands or armsOccasionally required to walk and stand.Specific vision requirements needed to successfully perform this job include work at a computer terminal.
