Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; Preferred: TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIHF Must-Have: Candidates must have completed 2-3 travel assignments. Candidates must have 2-3 years of experience in the Emergency Room. Description: The unit has 27 beds and employs approximately 50 RNs and 25 medics. The staffing structure includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics on the night shift. Patient ratios are typically 4-6:1. The equipment used includes EMR - Meditech. Candidates with experience in high acuity Emergency Rooms and fast-paced environments will be prioritized. Typical procedures performed in the unit include RSI, sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, care of psychiatric patients, and transfers to other facilities. The ideal candidate will be relaxed, easy-going, friendly, team-oriented, and respectful. There is no on-call requirement. Weekend shifts consist of four shifts per four-week scheduling period, including either Friday or Saturday nights or Saturday or Sunday days.
