Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience. License: NC or Compact license required before start. Certifications: BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP Must-Have: - EPIC experience - IV start and circulate - Experience with at least 400 births per month - Labor inductions - IUFDs - Multiple drips (Pitocin, magnesium, insulin) - Preterm labor - Multiple gestations - Preeclampsia - Postpartum hemorrhages - Ability to circulate in OR - Ability to manage epidurals - Must be able to recover C-sections Description: RTO after booking is not allowed. Call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly result in cancellations. Travelers will float within women's services. Every other weekend is required. Patients seen include those 14 weeks and above in triage and 20 weeks and above in labor and delivery. Resuscitation offered for patients 22 weeks and above. Labor and delivery occur in the same suite. Special procedures include labor inductions, IUFDs, multiple drips, and amnio infusions. Special equipment includes epidural pumps, PCAs, and fluid warmers. Unit systems utilized are PYXIS and EPIC. Travelers may float based on skill sets and census without restrictions or special requests. Clinicians must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. No RTO allowed during the first week of a traveler's assignment. Candidate must complete testing within 48 hours after signing. References from previous supervisors are preferred at the time of submission. Fatigue policy: Travelers cannot work more than 5 days in a row or over 60 hours in a week.
