Job Description:
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified Telemetry RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103! Pay
Information $2,492 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration:
13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2
years of experience preferred. License: Active nursing license
required. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications
required. Must-Have: - IV Start and Telemetry skills required. -
Candidates must be comfortable floating to other units as needed. -
Candidates must pass EKG Testing prior to start. Description: RTO
after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any
call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly result in
cancellation of the contract. Ratios on the unit are 1:5-6. The
unit will accept contracts for a duration of 13-26 weeks. 36 or 48
hours can be offered. Floating is required as needed to similar
units. Candidates are required to work 4 weekend shifts per each
6-week schedule. Patient diagnoses include pre/post
catheterization, pre/post pacemaker and AICD, and Watchmen
procedures. Additional patient management includes stress tests,
management of arterial and venous sheaths, TIA population, and
carotid stent patient management. The unit also manages arrhythmias
and cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, renal dose
dopamine, Lasix drips, and non-titrating Nitro drips for stable
chest pain and NSTEMI patients. This is a 24-bed inpatient cardiac
procedural unit housing cardiac telemetry along with pre and post
cardiac procedural patients. The average length of stay is between
1.8 to 2.4 days. There is rapid patient turnover on the unit daily.
An admission, discharge, transfer nurse is available Monday through
Friday during peak patient transition times. Absences must be made
up at the end of the contract and cannot be made up as an overtime
day. If a nurse calls out on a weekend shift, they will need to
make another weekend shift up at the manager's discretion. The unit
cannot promise a block schedule and will try its best to
accommodate requests, but cannot guarantee it. Candidates cannot
take RTO during the first week of the assignment due to
