Required Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week
assignment in a Progressive Care Unit. The position requires
working three 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. The start
date is flexible, and four 12-hour shifts may be available upon
request. Local candidates are limited to a one-time assignment and
will not be eligible for extension. Only start dates through the
end of September will be considered for local candidates. A
traveler is considered "local" if they live within 49.9 miles from
the facility. All travelers are expected to float as needed within
their acuity. Experience with the electronic health record system
is required. Currently, there are 1:5 patient-to-nurse ratios, with
a goal of 1:4. All travelers must comply with vaccine requirements
for COVID-19 and the flu, with exemptions only for medical or
religious reasons. Travelers are required to work at least one
holiday during their assignment, with additional holiday
requirements during winter holidays. Compliance documents are due
one week prior to the assignment start date. Previous employees
must have a separation of at least one year before returning for a
travel position. The facility does not allow travelers to return
after 365 days on assignment, with exceptions reviewed on a
case-by-case basis. Orientation consists of 24 hours of
non-billable training completed within the first 24 hours. Modules
may be completed prior to the start or during orientation, and
hours vary based on specialty.
