LifePoint is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Wytheville, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty:Labor and Delivery - Discipline:RN - Duration:13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift:12 hours, nights - Employment Type:Travel We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns during one of life’s most important moments. This night shift position plays a vital role in supporting the labor, delivery, and postpartum experience for patients and their families. Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive, high-quality nursing care throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. - Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, including EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring), labor progression, and immediate newborn care. - Assist with deliveries, including vaginal and cesarean sections, and provide postpartum support. - Care for patients in L&D, Mom/Baby, Postpartum, and Nursery settings, as needed. - Educate and support patients and their families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery. - Maintain timely and accurate documentation. Required Qualifications: - Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required. - Active RN license in the state of Virginia (or compact state). - Minimum experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Mom/Baby, and Nursery required. - Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (additional perinatal certifications are a plus). - Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills. Preferred Experience: - Charge Nurse experience or leadership in an L&D setting is highly desirable.
