Schedule Night shift: 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Job Description The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) will provide care for a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatrics with varying medical conditions. Knowledge in telemetry, respiratory care, and managing high-acuity patients is essential. Responsibilities - Administer medications and manage drips (e.g., dopamine, cardizem, heparin). - Provide care for patients with respiratory distress, COVID-19, pneumonia, and other conditions. - Conduct EKG interpretation and manage dysrhythmias. - Collaborate closely with clinical staff including IV teams, physical therapy, and rapid response teams. - Adhere to professional conduct and teamwork standards in the healthcare environment. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a PCU or similar setting. - Current ACLS and BLS certifications. - Experience with IV therapy, respiratory management (e.g., CPAP, BiPAP). - Preferred: NIHSS certification.
