Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac
Sonographer with at least 2 years of echo tech experience and
current BLS and RDCS (ARDMS), RCS, or ACS certification.
Responsibilities - Work in a teaching, Level 1 Trauma, academic
hospital setting - Assignment in the cardiac imaging department
with 19 echocardiography stations including satellite locations -
Daily patient census includes comprehensive TTE studies, stress
echos, Dobutamine Stress Echos, and TEEs - Patient population
includes those undergoing heart failure and cardiac diagnostics,
chemotherapy evaluations, and renal transplant assessments -
Typical daily volumes: 110 TTEs, 14 stress echo or related studies,
5-6 TEEs - Utilizes Philips and GE echo equipment, GE CASE for
stress lab, Philips ISCV for echo reporting - Uses EPIC - Encompass
EMR; prior experience with Epic is beneficial - Floating required
to managed regional satellite sites for Echo Techs - Shifts include
5x8 hour shifts or optional 4x10s, with weekend rotation as needed
and no on-call - 13-week contract term - Supported by a dedicated
cardiac ultrasound educator and chief sonographer - Team includes
Echo Techs, RNs, and EP technicians - Department has a patient- and
family-focused, fast-paced, academic culture balancing portable and
in-lab studies - Scrub attire: Barney purple tops, black pants or
skirts, and matching jackets - Free assigned parking is provided -
Orientation includes facility NEO and 2 days of departmental
training - Holiday work is required as determined by unit needs -
RTO requests require manager approval - First-time travelers are
accepted Requirements - Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echo
Tech with adult cardiac imaging - Certification required: BLS, plus
RDCS (ARDMS), RCS, or ACS (CCI) certification - Demonstrated
proficiency in 2D, Doppler, color flow, 3D, strain and contrast
studies - Preferred: Experience with stress echo skills,
interventional procedures, and IV management - License required if
