Job Description:
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina,
27157! Pay Information $1,894 per week About The Position Job
Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: MedSurg/Tele
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36
Experience: Minimum of 1 year Med/Tele experience preferred
License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Must-Have: 1 year of MedSurg/Tele experience Description: This
position requires availability for a 12-hour night shift. Nurses
will manage a variety of patient types and common diagnoses.
Patient types include those with diabetes, respiratory illnesses,
GI illnesses, neuro surgeries, trauma surgeries, and spinal
precautions. Cardiac and CT surgery patients, including pre-CT
surgery patients, will also be part of the caseload. The nurse to
patient ratio will be 1:5. Nursing assistants will support the RN
by obtaining vital signs, blood glucose checks, and assisting with
safety rounds and activities of daily living. Phlebotomy services
are available for peripheral blood draws. Nurses will start their
own IVs; there is no dedicated IV/VAT team. Respiratory therapy is
available around the clock. Physicians will be accessible 24/7 for
hospitalist and intensivist roles. Telemetry monitoring is
conducted by the bedside RN, who will read and interpret cardiac
strips. The electronic medical record system in use is Epico. IV
pumps and medication dispensing systems are available.
Unit-specific equipment includes external fixators, chest tubes,
PCA pumps, tracheostomy care, and complex wound care. Nurses may
float to any adult unit where they have competencies. Weekend
rotation is required every other week. Travelers are expected to
work a significant portion of holidays. Requests for time off can
be accommodated up to 7 days, pending managerial approval. The unit
