Location: Winston-Salem, NC 27157 (North Carolina nursing jobs) -
Facility: Comprehensive Cancer Center – 40-bed unit - Assignment
Type: 13-week travel nursing contract (Start: 9/15/2025 – End:
12/13/2025) - Shift: 12-hour night shifts (6:30pm – 7:00am) -
Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week - Estimated Weekly Salary
Range: $1570-$1680 - Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend -
Holiday Coverage: Travelers work 75% of holidays - Scrub Color:
Royal Blue - Parking: Free, on-site parking Registered Nurse
Qualifications - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North
Carolina or compact state) - Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg or
Telemetry RN experience (Oncology nursing experience preferred) -
BLS and ACLS certifications required - NIHSS certification
(Resource Team requirement) - ONS and OCN certifications preferred
- Skills in port access, blood product administration, electrolyte
management, end-of-life care, pain and symptom management, PIV
starts, and cardiac rhythm interpretation - Epic EMR experience
preferred Med/Surg RN Responsibilities - Provide high-quality
nursing care to hematology and oncology patients, including those
with leukemia and patients requiring symptom management or
end-of-life care - Manage a patient load of 4-5 patients per shift,
depending on acuity - Perform port access, administer blood
products, and manage electrolyte imbalances - Deliver pain and
symptom management, including palliative and end-of-life care -
Initiate PIV starts and interpret cardiac rhythms - Collaborate
with CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, respiratory
therapists, hospitalists, and other clinical support staff - Float
within the cancer center and to other med-surg units as needed -
Verify telemetry strips each shift - Utilize Epic EMR, Alaris IV
pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Philips monitors Apply
