Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is
seeking an experienced Echo Technologist for a day shift position
in a busy academic medical center with Level 1 Trauma designation
and advanced cardiac diagnostics. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work
in a high-volume academic cardiac imaging department with Level 1
Trauma designation - Perform TTE, TEE, stress echo, dobutamine
stress echo, and advanced cardiac diagnostics - Daily census across
all areas averages 110 TTE/comprehensive studies, 14 stress-related
studies, 5-6 TEE procedures - Patient population primarily includes
cardiac diagnoses such as heart failure, cardiac diagnostics,
chemotherapy, and renal transplant evaluations - Five 8-hour day
shifts per week with optional 4x10s schedule - Rotational weekend
coverage based on department needs - No on-call requirements -
Floating required to satellite sites within the Wake Region - EPIC
– Encompass EMR and use of Philips and GE echo equipment - Scrub
attire: Barney purple tops, black pants or skirts, purple or black
warm-up jackets - Responsibilities include performing advanced
cardiovascular ultrasound procedures on complex patient populations
- Team support includes a dedicated cardiac ultrasound educator,
chief sonographer, 19 echocardiographers, RNs, and EPs - Department
culture is patient- and family-focused, high quality, and
fast-paced with a balance between portable and in-lab studies -
Free assigned parking is provided - First-time travelers are
accepted - Holiday coverage is determined by department needs -
Orientation includes new employee orientation and two days
departmental training - Time off requests require manager approval
/n /n Requirements/n - Minimum 2 years of recent echocardiography
experience - BLS certification required - Current registration as
RDCS (ARDMS), RCS, or ACS (CCI) required - ACLS and PALS
certifications preferred - Proficiency in 2D, Doppler, color flow,
3D, strain, and contrast studies; stress echo skills and
interventional procedures preferred - IV management training
preferred - Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred - License
