Located in Winston-Salem, NC, the role is contract-based and primarily supports inpatients, outpatients, and trauma cases within a leading academic medical center boasting Level 1 Trauma designation. The department manages an average of 40-55 procedure cases daily, providing comprehensive support across multiple radiology services including CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, and X-Ray. Key Responsibilities: Deliver expert nursing care during interventional radiology procedures, including nurse sedation cases. Collaborate closely with radiologists and radiology technicians to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. Utilize critical care and emergency nursing skills to manage acute and emergent patient needs. Navigate and document patient information efficiently using the EPIC Radiant electronic medical record system. Participate in weekend rotations, on-call duties, and holiday support as needed. Desired Qualifications: Current RN license with required certifications: BLS and ACLS; PALS certification preferred. Experience in critical care or emergency nursing is required. Competency in moderate sedation and acute care environments. Ability to work effectively within a cohesive team-oriented department culture. Schedule & Work Environment: Weekday shifts with a schedule cycle every 6 weeks. Weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations to support departmental needs. Free employee parking is provided.
