Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active
registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. Provide specialized nursing care in oncology within
a leading medical center recognized for its Level 1 Trauma
designation and comprehensive cancer services. This contract role
offers the chance to engage with a variety of patient
typesincluding hematology/oncology, surgical oncology, and
gynecologic oncologywithin a well-equipped academic medical
environment. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Registered
Nurse license (RN) Minimum of 1 year of oncology nursing experience
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Resource Team
requirement) Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred Proficient in
venipuncture, IV insertion, central line access and care Skilled in
wound and skin care, managing nausea, vomiting, mucositis
Experience in infection prevention monitoring lab values,
transfusion of blood products Responsibilities: Deliver expert
nursing care to oncology patients on a 20-bed unit with an average
census of 18 Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including
CNAs, unit secretaries, charge nurses, and respiratory therapists
Utilize technology such as EMR Epic, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell
medication dispensing, and Philips monitors Float within the cancer
center primarily and respond to emergency float requests up to five
facilities within the hospital network Participate in unit-specific
and organizational orientation for seamless integration Schedule
and Hours: 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM (days) or 6:30 PM to
7:00 AM (nights) Weekend rotation every other weekend Holiday work
expectation at 75% Return-to-Office policy requiring extension to
complete a full 13-week assignment Location Overview:Situated in
