Job Description:

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will work
under the direction of licensed occupational therapists to help
patients develop, recover, improve, and maintain the skills needed
for daily living and working. This role is crucial in making a
significant difference in the lives of patients by enabling them to
enhance their wellbeing with tailored therapeutic interventions.
Assist in the evaluation of the patient’s condition and needs,
under the guidance of a registered occupational therapist.
Implement therapeutic plans and tasks as directed by the
supervising occupational therapist. Help patients use therapeutic
techniques aimed at improving function, such as strength and
dexterity exercises. Document patient progress and provide detailed
feedback to the supervising occupational therapist. Maintain
equipment and help ensure that the therapy area is clean and
organized. Educate patients and family members about home exercises
and adaptive equipment. Comply with all healthcare regulations and
maintain client confidentiality. Strong interpersonal and
communication skills Ability to follow detailed instructions
Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and understanding of patient
care Physical stamina and dexterity Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Certification from the National Board
for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) State licensure
or certification as required
