Job Description:
Liberty Healthcare seeks a dedicated Medication Aide to join our
team, where the focus is on delivering comprehensive,
patient-centered care tailored to individual needs. The role
involves accurately administering and documenting medications in
accordance with physicians orders under the supervision of a
licensed nurse. By joining our team, you will play a key role in
enhancing the wellbeing of our clients through innovative and
responsible medication management. Administer daily medication to
patients as prescribed by the medical practitioner. Monitor
patients' responses to medications and document adverse reactions.
Maintain accurate records of medication inventory and patient
medication schedules. Assess patients prior to administering
medications and report any significant health changes to the
supervising nurse. Educate patients about their medications,
including proper usage and potential side effects. Adhere to all
healthcare regulations and safety standards. Collaborate with
healthcare professionals to optimize the therapeutic outcomes for
patients. In-depth knowledge of drug administration and health and
safety guidelines. Strong organizational and time management skills
for managing multiple patient schedules. Excellent communication
and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families,
and medical staff. Detail orientation and diligence in the accurate
recording of medical information. Ability to maintain
confidentiality and conduct oneself in a professional manner at all
times. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Certified Medication Aide (CMA) status from an accredited program.
CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
