Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of both mother and baby, including assessing vital signs, breastfeeding, wound healing, and general well-being. Administer medications, as prescribed, and ensure accurate documentation. Educate mothers on postpartum care, breastfeeding techniques, infant care, and promote newborn safety. Provide emotional support and reassurance to new mothers, as they adjust to motherhood. Assist with newborn screenings and tests. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive care. Communicate effectively with families, physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care. Monitor and respond to changes in the mother or baby's condition and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
