Opportunity – Orthopedic/Med-Surg Registered Nurse – North Carolina
Start Date: February 9, 2026 Location: Winston-Salem, North
Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts; 36 or 48 hours per week available;
every other weekend required Highlights: Fast-paced orthopedic and
neuro spine unit with post-surgical and med-surg patient
populations 13-week contract with block scheduling options
available (Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday)
Patient ratios typically 5-6:1, with flexibility to 7:1 in extreme
cases Epic EMR system; EKG proficiency required prior to start
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams,
physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
Opportunity to care for orthopedic trauma, total joint replacement,
and neuro spine post-surgical patients Requirements: Current North
Carolina or Compact RN license (must be active by start date)
Minimum 2 years of RN experience with orthopedic work experience
required Epic charting system experience required Active
certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale required; ACLS preferred
Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, heparin protocols, pain
management, and blood product administration Experience with spinal
cord injury, peripheral nerve block catheters, external CPAP/BiPAP,
and high-flow nasal cannula preferred Must be comfortable floating
to other med-surg units as needed based on census Flexibility
required: RTO after booking is not permitted, and no holiday time
