experience required. License: Active RN license required.
Certifications: ACLS and BLS required. Must-Have: - Experience in
telemetry and progressive care nursing. - Ability to interpret and
manage dysrhythmias. - Understanding of rapid response and code
team protocols. - Knowledge of blood product administration and
central line care/management. - Skills in managing cardiac drips
and non-invasive airway management. Description: This position is
for a progressive care unit with a general medicine focus. The
patient population includes adults and geriatrics. The average
daily census is 12, with patient ratios of 1:5, aiming for a goal
of 1:4. Key responsibilities include patient assessment, care
management, and teamwork with interdisciplinary support. Strong
communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced
environment are essential. Applicants must be knowledgeable about
isolation precautions and IV protocols, including insulin
titration. Experience with feeding tubes, tracheostomy care, and
wound care is beneficial. This unit operates with two nurse
assessments and bedside reporting every shift. The position
requires the ability to manage a variety of patient diagnoses,
including respiratory failure and sepsis. Candidates should be
adaptable and willing to work collaboratively within a supportive
