Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required, with Trauma Level 1 experience preferred • Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in hospital setting • Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans • Assess patient readiness to learn and developmental levels affecting ability to learn • Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects • Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in evaluation of patient care • Participate in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities • Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families • Required certifications: North Carolina RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) • Education requirements: Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from accredited school of nursing • BSN or MSN from accredited school of nursing preferred Facility: This healthcare organization operates as a comprehensive medical center providing advanced patient care services.
