The role focuses on providing care for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment, but who aren't unstable enough to need ICU care. Monitor and assess the health status of patients within the PCU, providing timely care and interventions. Administer medications, document patient data and communicate findings to the appropriate healthcare team members. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and health management after discharge. Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and patient safety standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans. Adapt to varying healthcare environments and maintain high standards of nursing care. Strong clinical skills in patient assessment and acute care Effective communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the U.S. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
