Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Cornelius, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,161 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Cornelius, North Carolina, 28031! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 18 months of Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) experience required. License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, EFM, NRP Must-Have: Experience with all aspects of LDRP patient care. Ability to circulate C-sections. Experience with newborn care, including heel sticks and lactation support. Postpartum care experience. Capability in newborn resuscitation (NRP). Skillset to work in LDRP Support. Description: The facility has 33 beds and is not designated for trauma. It is not a teaching hospital or a chest pain center. Currently, it is not accredited for stroke care. Travelers must reside more than 50 miles outside of the home unit. The unit consists of 2 triage rooms, 4 labor and delivery rooms, 9 mother-baby rooms, and a C-section suite. Expected delivery rate is approximately 900 deliveries per year once fully functional. Patient ratios will follow AWHONN guidelines. The Resource Team includes Charge Nurse, Case Manager, Pediatrician, Hospitalist or OB Physician available 24/7. Lactation consultants are yet to be hired. Fetal monitoring technology includes bedside and nurses' station monitoring. Electronic Medical Records utilized are EPIC. The IV pump used is Alaris. Med dispensing is performed using Omnicell. Monitors include Phillips and GE monitors along with OBIX central monitoring. Staff may be required to float to additional facilities within the designated region as needed. Standard scheduling includes a weekend rotation every other weekend. Travelers are expected to work 75% of designated holidays. Requests for time off may be approved up to 6 days, excluding holidays. Shift times will be from 7 PM to 7 AM. The schedule cycle follows a 6-week rotation.
