Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Salem, VA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,002 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Salem, Virginia, 24153! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in an acute care setting License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Medical-surgical experience Acute care setting experience Description: Unit has 33 beds. The unit consists of 27 staff members. Staffing is dependent on census. Day shift typically has 5 RNs, 1 clinical coordinator/charge nurse, 2-3 technicians, and 1 unit secretary. Night shift typically has 5 RNs, including the charge nurse, and 2-3 technicians. Patient ratios are 5-6 patients per RN. Equipment includes Baxter IV pumps and Meditech EMR (EBCD version). Preferred candidates have oncology and chemotherapy experience. Ideal candidates possess a positive and energetic demeanor. Teamwork is highly valued within the unit. Unit guidelines include bedside shift report, hourly rounding with technical assistance, and shift huddles.
