TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified
ICU/Critical Care RN in Roanoke, Virginia, 24014! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience:
Minimum 2 years in ICU License: Active RN license required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Comfortable working in
ICU, PCU, and Medical Surgical units. Experience with patient
ratios of at least 1:5. Description: Position available for a
Registered Nurse in a multi-specialty float role. The RN will be
responsible for floating among ICU, PCU, and Medical Surgical
units. Candidates must confirm their comfort level in working
across all three specialties. Charting experience with EPIC is
required. Staffing needs will be evaluated every 4 hours, with
potential floating 2-3 times per shift. Weekend work is required
every other week or a total of 6 shifts within a 6-week block. The
position requires working one holiday during the 13-week contract.
First-time travelers are accepted. Local candidates may also apply.
Pending licenses are accepted if candidates hold a single-state
license from a non-compact state. All requests for time off must be
included during the application process. Facility policy allows for
one shift cancellation per two weeks. Candidates should have
experience in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line management.
Skilled in cardiac monitoring and ventilator management is
essential. Background in ICU from a large facility is preferred.
Patient ratios in ICU are typically 2:1, PCU is 5:1, and Medical
Surgical units may flex up to 7:1. The hospital is a major teaching
