Job Summary and Qualifications *Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures. *Performs all Sonographic exams following defined protocols. *Observant of patients’ conditions. Notifies physician or supervisor of unusual occurrences. *Compiles appropriate records to expedite results. *Analyzes the quality of images and processes as required. *Understands and operates electronic information systems. Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean, organized working environment. *Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of sonography and meet educational requirements of ARDMS. *Takes call after regular hours. Registered or registry eligible by RDMS or ARRT. What qualifications you will need: EXPERIENCE Preferred: 2-3 Years experience as a RT or Sonographer Preferred: 2 or more years of experience in a hospital Ultrasound Department. EDUCATION Required: ARDMS eligible. Preferred: BLS Certification Preferred Required: ARDMS certification. Hours: Full time, mixed shifts (weekdays only) Monday-Thursday 10:30am-9pm with rotating call and holidays LewisGale Medical Center has provided quality healthcare services since 1909.
