ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Roanoke, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM • Weekend requirement may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block • Must work one holiday per 13-week contract • Patient ratios of 1:4-5 (must be comfortable with 1:5 ratio) • 48 hours of orientation provided • EPIC charting experience required • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • Care for adult patients with neurological conditions including neurosurgical recovery, stroke management, and neuro-specific diagnoses • Unit includes 5 dedicated beds for continuous 24-hour epilepsy monitoring • Clinical skills required include cardiac monitoring, emergency response, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central/peripheral line care • Medication administration including cardiac drips (no titration) • Respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management • Rapid Response and isolation precautions • Floating required to units within clinical skillset • First-time travelers accepted • Minimum 1 year of experience required • Previous charge experience preferred Facility: This 703-bed acute care teaching hospital serves as the region's only Level I Trauma Center and is Magnet-designated for nursing excellence.
