March 30, 2026 - End Date: June 29, 2026 - Contract Length: 13
weeks - Employment Type: Travel, On-Site - Shift: 12-hour nights
(6:45pm – 7:15am), 3 shifts per week - Hours per Week: 36 - Unit:
ICU (may float to IMCU & Med/Surg as needed) - Patient Ratio:
Typically 1:2 (may vary when floating) - EMR: Epic (recent
experience required) - Uniform: All white or all navy scrubs -
Weekend Coverage: Up to 2 weekends per month - COVID-19 Vaccine:
Required (medical/religious exemptions considered) - Local
Candidate Policy: Must reside at least 40 miles from facility
(address verification required) ICU RN Qualifications &
Requirements - Experience: Minimum 2 years recent ICU RN experience
(critical care nurse) - Travel Experience: At least 2 years of
travel nursing experience required - Licensure: Active North
Carolina RN license or Multistate (compact) RN license -
Certifications (current): BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS (PALS must be
through AHA) - EMR: Recent Epic proficiency required - Clinical
Skills: Ventilator management, care of ventilated patients,
arterial line and central line management, dysrhythmia
interpretation and management, IV start and maintenance, continuous
IV sedation, titration of vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow
nasal cannula (HFNC), ABG interpretation, infection prevention,
isolation precautions/PPE - Patient Population: Adolescents,
adults, geriatrics (comfortable caring for pediatric patients as
needed) - Flexibility: Willing and able to float to IMCU and
Med/Surg units as patient volume requires - Other: Must provide
driver’s license for address verification prior to offer acceptance
Travel ICU RN Responsibilities - Deliver safe, evidence-based
critical care to ICU patients, including those with multisystem
organ dysfunction/failure - Perform comprehensive assessments,
continuous monitoring, and rapid intervention for changes in
patient condition - Manage ventilated patients and collaborate with
interdisciplinary teams on airway and ventilation plans - Titrate
and manage continuous infusions (sedation, vasopressors, and other
ICU drips) per protocol and provider orders - Provide central and
arterial line care and support hemodynamic monitoring - Maintain
infection prevention standards, including isolation precautions and
appropriate PPE use - Document accurately and efficiently in Epic
EMR - Float to IMCU and Med/Surg as needed while maintaining safe
practice standards and unit expectations - Participate in
