Registered Nurse (RN) with Cerner EHR and BLS for a 13-week travel
contract starting April 13, 2026. Job Details - Location: Hickory,
NC 28601 - Job Title: Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse / Telemetry
RN (Travel Nurse) - Setting: Neuro Progressive Care Unit (NPCU) –
5th Floor - Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse, 13
weeks) - Start Date: April 13, 2026 - End Date: July 13, 2026 -
Duration: 13 weeks - Shift: 12-hour Days (07:00-19:00) - Hours per
Week: 36 - Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680 - $1770 per week -
Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric (post-stroke, neuro-surgery,
telemetry) - Unit Size: 20 beds - Electronic Health Record: Cerner
Qualifications - Active RN license (North Carolina or compact
state) — required for travel nursing in North Carolina - Minimum 1
year recent clinical experience in stepdown, neuro, or telemetry
unit (cardiac step-down experience preferred) - Experience with
Cerner EHR is required - BLS certification from the American Heart
Association (AHA) - Must reside at least 60 miles from Hickory, NC
to qualify as a travel nurse Responsibilities - Provide
high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the
Neuro Progressive Care Unit, including cardiac stepdown and
telemetry monitoring - Monitor and manage patients with stable
post-stroke conditions, neuro-surgery recovery, telemetry needs,
and complex medical issues - Perform cardiac telemetry
interpretation and timely escalation per unit protocols -
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement
individualized patient care plans - Float as needed to Medical,
Telemetry, and Neonatal units to support staffing needs -
Accurately document patient care and clinical assessments using
Cerner EHR - Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing
training to support travel nurse integration and patient safety Why
