Provide specialized cardiac care in a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) focused on patients with acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, arrhythmia management, and post-cardiac procedures. This contract opportunity is based in Kernersville, NC, and offers a dynamic clinical environment at a Level 1 Trauma, academic medical center with 885 licensed beds and advanced cardiac and stroke certifications. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to PCU patients, managing complex cases such as NSTEMI/STEMI, post cardiac catheterization, pacemaker insertion, and vascular disorders. Interpret cardiac rhythms and titrate multiple drips safely, including but not limited to Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, and Nitroglycerine. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including CNAs, hospitalists, intensivists, and respiratory therapists to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Monitor telemetry data and verify rhythm strips each shift using Philips monitors and document care in Epic EMR. Adhere to unit protocols and participate in orientation and ongoing training programs. Qualifications and Experience: Current RN licensure with at least 1 year of experience in cardiology step-down or progressive care. Certification requirements: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and post-procedure care. Confidence in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips as outlined. Experience with Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and telemetry monitoring preferred.
