qualifications will not be considered. Provide specialized nursing
care in pediatric oncology and hematology within a dynamic,
academic medical center in Winston-Salem, NC. This contract role
supports two vibrant unitsPediatric Hematology/Oncology (PHO) and
Pediatric Adolescent Medicine (PA)caring for a diverse patient
population with conditions such as leukemia, solid tumors, sickle
cell crisis, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, and behavioral health

Responsibilities: Deliver expert nursing care to pediatric
patients, managing complex treatments including chemotherapy and
central line care. Maintain vigilant patient assessment and apply
critical thinking skills to respond effectively to changing
conditions. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams,
utilizing department support such as CNAs, phlebotomists, IV/VAT
teams, respiratory therapists, and hospitalists. Utilize Epic EMR
and clinical technology including Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell
medication dispensing systems to ensure safe, accurate care
delivery. Flexibly work between PHO, PA, and other pediatric units,
excluding Peds ED. Engage in continuous professional development
and participate in unit-specific orientation. Qualifications and
Desired Experience: Minimum 1 year pediatric hematology/oncology
acute care experience for PHO; 1 year pediatric acute care for PA.
Current RN license with certifications: BLS and PALS required for
both units; APHON and chemotherapy certification required for PHO.
Proficient in central line management and chemotherapy
administration. Strong pediatric assessment, critical thinking, and
communication skills. Open to first-time travelers with solid
pediatric nursing background. Additional Details: Patient-to-nurse
ratios: PHO (1:3-4), PA (1:4-5). Free parking and departmental
orientation provided. Scrub color: royal blue;
pediatric-appropriate scrubs encouraged. Unit culture is
