TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified
ICU/Critical Care RN in Roanoke, Virginia, 24014! Job Title:

years in ICU/PCU settings License: Active Virginia State or Compact
RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: -
EPIC charting experience - Experience in a large Level 1/2 facility
Description: Position: RN- ICU/PCU Float. Must be comfortable
working all ICU and PCU units. Scheduling details include 3 shifts
of 12 hours, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. Charting experience with EPIC
is required. Staffing needs are re-evaluated every 4 hours, so
travel nurses may float 2-3 times per shift. Weekend requirements
may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week
scheduling block. Must work one holiday per 13-week contract.
First-time travelers are accepted. Pending license accepted if the
candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state.
Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Required
clinical skills include: - IV therapy: arterial line management,
central/PICC line care, blood product administration, IV initiation
and maintenance - Respiratory support: BiPAP & CPAP management,
care of ventilated patients - Medication administration: continuous
IV sedation, emergency medications, titration of cardiac and
vasoactive drips - Wound care: care of surgical wounds with drains
or wound vacs - Cardiac monitoring: dysrhythmia interpretation and
management - Endocrine/metabolic: adherence to IV insulin protocols
ICU experience is required and preference is given to candidates
with 2 years of experience. The average patient ratio in the PCU is
5:1 and in the ICU is 2:1. Travelers must work at least one holiday
per 13-week assignment, with the exception of winter holidays where
they are required to work two holidays. Candidates who live within
100 miles of the facility will not be considered local. Return
travelers must have been gone for a minimum of one year before
returning. Compliance documents are required prior to the start
date. Modules will be billable and are completed during the first
