Scholle IPN is a global packaging company, manufacturing flexible
packaging materials for a variety of industries. You may not have

What We Do
We engineer flexible packaging solutions that reduce waste and
prolong shelf life for many different markets. Our products are
made around the globe-not so we can produce cheaper elsewhere, but
to effectively serve and produce right in the markets where we
operate.
We are currently hiring an HR Generalist for our Chilhowie,
Virginia facility! The HR Generalist is responsible for areas that
include employee relations, employee selection, policies and
procedures, and performance management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Consults with managers on employee issues and provides a variety of
human resources solutions to meet business initiatives
Creates and implements a comprehensive strategy for employee
relations programs
Oversees payroll and timekeeping process. Processes hourly payroll
on a weekly basis
Administers leave of absences including, but not limited to FMLA,
and ADA
Coordinates the use of temporary employees with vendors and act as
liaison to leadership by assigning temporary staff, cancellation of
temporary assignments, process of invoices and monthly reports
Maintains a positive employee relations environment that is
consistent with implementation of progressive management practices.
Will assist other locations with employee related issues when
needed
Provides HR Generalist support across the operations
organization
Provides training for managers and associates on compliance
questions, policy issues and HR audit matters
Works with outside recruiting firms in the selection of talented
individuals to assist the organization in meeting business
initiatives
Provides counsel to managers and employees regarding company
policies, procedures and workplace issues. Advises managers on the
interpretation of employment law
Assists leadership in analyzing and resolving employee relations
issues
Enters and updates Human Resource Information System and
Timekeeping records for Non-Exempt associates and prepares reports
from the database as needed
Updates employee files to document personnel actions and to provide
information for payroll and other uses
Assists with the coordination of Flex force / TWI program and
Mini-Business initiatives
Coordinates employee events
Assists in the recruitment of hourly employees and other duties as
assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university required,
with a discipline in Human Resources preferred
Three to five years of human resources experience in a
manufacturing environment; or an equivalent combination of
education and experience
PHR/SPHR preferred
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office products and Time and Attendance
systems (ADP Preferred)
Good knowledge of employment-related labor laws and regulations
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and
confidentiality
