visit grail.com The Associate Director, Kit & Logistics role sits
in the Supply Chain/Procurement team and provides strategic
leadership and oversight of kit & logistics operations. This role
provides team leadership to ensure operational excellence across
end-to-end material flow for kits, and end-to-end GRAIL logistics.
This role directs a team of individuals and partners with senior
leadership to shape long-term supply chain strategies. This role is
based at our Durham, North Carolina, office. It offers a flexible
work arrangement, with the ability to work from GRAIL's office or
from home. Our current flexible work arrangement policy requires
that a minimum of 60%, or 24 hours, of your total work week be
on-site. Your specific schedule, determined in collaboration with
your manager, will align with team and business needs and could
exceed the 60% requirement for the site. Responsibilities: Provide
strategic leadership for the kit & logistics team day-to-day
activities and oversight into their delivery of project-based work.
Note - the word “kit” refers to the Galleri carton/components
inclusive of tubes. Lead and develop staff, fostering a culture of
accountability, performance, and continuous improvement. Establish
strategic goals, KPIs, and performance standards for kit &
logistics; monitor results and drive corrective actions. Manages
significant escalations; partnering with cross functional
stakeholders in a timely manner. Is responsible for specific
projects and long-term strategy, inclusive of proactively planning
for GRAIL’s growth and scale. Expected to understand and analyze
trends and historical and future data, identify risks, and drive
decisions that support optimal kit and logistics decisions. Develop
and manage supplier relationships, including negotiation of
contracts, performance reviews, and resolution of escalated issues.
Comfortable working with supplier c-suite individuals. Collaborate
with senior leaders across operations, finance, accounting,
international development, warehouse, sales, and customer service
to ensure alignment on business objectives. Drive large-scale
process improvement, automation, and digital transformation
initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability of kit &
logistics activities. Represent the kit & logistics function in
executive meetings, supplier conversations, and external industry

discretion. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply
Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management,
or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 12 years of
experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, kitting or
related functions, including 5–8 years in a management or
leadership role. Strong knowledge of global supply chain practices,
ERP and supply chain systems, and advanced analytics tools. Proven
track record in supplier negotiations, global logistics management,
and inventory optimization. Experience leading large-scale process
improvement or digital transformation initiatives preferred.
Demonstrated level of knowledge regarding applicable regulatory
standards commensurate with the position's complexity and scope,
contributing to organizational regulatory compliance. Minimal
applicable standards for this position include: GMP quality
management systems (e.g. ISO 13485) Clinical laboratory regulations
(e.g. CAP, CLIA, NYSDOH, ISO 15189) Operations within the regulated
medical device environment (e.g. IVDD, IVDR, FDA 21 CFR 800 series,
FDA 21 CFR Part 11) Exceptional leadership skills with the ability
to build, develop, and inspire diverse teams. Strong strategic
thinking and analytical abilities, with demonstrated success in
aligning planning supply chain initiatives to business goals.
Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation, and
influencing skills at senior levels. Proven ability to manage
complex supply chain operations in a global, fast-paced
environment. Ability to identify risks, develop mitigation
strategies, and drive continuous improvement Physical Demands and
Work Environment Standard office environment with extensive use of
ERP systems, analytics platforms, and collaboration tools. Frequent
interaction with senior leaders, suppliers, internal
stakeholders,logistics providers, and external stakeholders.
RegularOccasional visits to warehouse(s) and s,operational floor
(MSAT, ClinLab, EngOps) manufacturing sites, and distribution
centers to oversee operations. Occasional Domestic travel may be
required. The expected, full-time, annual base pay scale for this
position is $146K - $183K for Research Triangle Park, NC. Actual
base pay will consider skills, experience, and location. This role
may be eligible for other forms of compensation, including an
annual bonus and/or incentives, subject to the terms of the
applicable plans and Company discretion. This range reflects a
good-faith estimate of the range that the Company reasonably
expects to pay for the position upon hire; the actual compensation
offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate’s
