Job Description Job Description Title: Experienced Sewer Schedule: Mon-Thurs 6am-3:30pm, Fri 6am-10am (Overtime as needed) Hourly Pay: $20-$25 (Depending on experience) Location: Conover, NC Job Type: Temp to Hire We are seeking Experienced Furniture Sewers to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong sewing skills who thrives in a collaborative, quality-focused workplace. Job Duties: Sew high-quality furniture components using an industrial electric sewing machine. Perform a variety of sewing tasks including flatwork, saddle stitching, and multi-sew or sew-utility operations. Produce accurate ½” seams, straight stitches, and clean finishes with no skipped stitches. Follow detailed sew notes, job specifications, and quality standards written in English. Inspect materials and finished pieces for color accuracy, holes, flaws, and workmanship. Measure materials accurately using a ruler and verify all work meets set specifications. Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly with supervisors. Meet production goals in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: 3 years of experience with flatwork, saddle stitch, multi-sew, or sew utility is required. Ability to read and write in English. Strong skill in sewing precise, consistent seams. Good vision for close-up work and color differentiation. Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 15 lbs consistently. Able to thread needles, operate, and troubleshoot industrial sewing machines safely. Must be comfortable sitting for up to 8 hours per day. Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Positive attitude and strong communication skills. Must be able to wear appropriate PPE (safety glasses, closed-toe/closed-heel shoes). Must adhere to all company Safety Policies and Procedures. Environment: Climate-controlled furniture manufacturing plant. Concrete floors. Interested?
