Overview
Novant Health is seeking a Heart Failure Program Manager that will be responsible for the planning, coordination and administration of the Heart Failure Program. He/she coordinates the development and operation of the Heart Failure Program to improve the care of the patient with heart failure. Additionally, he/she guides the growth and development of other staff members toward specified goals and objectives.

Qualifications

• Education: Baccalaureate of Nursing Degree required. Master of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Experience: Three to five years' experience in nursing. Preferably cardiac nursing. At least 2 years supervisory experience in healthcare or related setting.
• Additional Skills Required: Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members, Novant Health managers and outside agencies both verbally and in writing; must be a self-starter with good logical reasoning, decision making and problem solving abilities; possess thorough knowledge of heart failure including current trends and techniques; demonstrate the ability to plan, direct, implement, evaluate and monitor progress of care given to each patient; ability to serve as an advocate for patients, the department and the organization regarding heart failure management; ability to function as a member of a team; maintain current CPR certification.
• Additional Skills Preferred: May be required to work weekends, must be able to walk long distances to treat patients on a variety of units and floors daily, must have manual dexterity to operate machines, computers and apply exercises, must be able to adhere to Universal Precautions per hospital policy, exposure to communicable/infectious of diseases.
