You are the right person for the Workforce Business Services Coordinator position if you have excellent networking, problem-solving skills and enjoy using data to measure program performance.

In this position, you will help employers realize their potential by providing consultative business support and serve as a resource connection! The Business Services Coordinator will work with corporate companies, medium to small local businesses, and entrepreneurial ventures.

For a typical assignment, Business Services Coordinators connect with local businesses to determine their specific talent concerns through a conversational needs assessment. Then, the Business Services Coordinator collaborates with the Workforce Development team to design creative, data-driven solutions to help the business address their unique pain points. Finally, the Business Services Coordinator implements these solutions which may include a virtual or in-person hiring event, work-based learning opportunity, or any number of strategic resolutions for their concerns. Job posting will remain open until filled.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Your related skills and work experiences could include:

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree in a field such as business, marketing, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Engaging with employers.
  • Knowing the local workforce.
  • Working within NCWorks Career Centers or with NCWorks partners.

    Knowledge of business practices, human resource needs, data analysis and measurement, and understanding of the physical, economic, and social characteristics of the Triad will be helpful in this role. Strong leadership, management, and communication skills are required, and experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with outside agencies, local and state governments, private industries, and community organizations is an advantage. It is also essential for the Business Services Coordinator to have organizational skills, presentation skills, work independently, and be a self-directed team member.

    If you are selected to fill the role of Workforce Business Services Coordinator, you will need to present a valid North Carolina Driver's License, pass the pre-employment drug screen and background screening process. Day travel throughout the Triad is required. You may need to travel outside the region on occasion.


    ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: At the Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC), we work to implement creative regional solutions to improve the lives of the community.     SALARY RANGE: Anticipated hiring $48,770. Organization provides excellent benefits including NC Local Governmental Employee's Retirement System and participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
