Youth Haven Services is a comprehensive mental health agency specializing in children, adolescents, and their families. We currently have two openings for a full-time qualified professional (bachelors degree/experience with population served-see qualifications below) to serve clients in King Day Treatment location. We have been making a difference in the lives of children/families in our area for nearly twenty years. We focus on providing individual attention and quality treatment in a culturally competent environment to enhance children/family outcomes. We are a CARF accredited, CABHA (Critical Access Behavioral Health Agency) serving Rockingham, Guilford, Caswell, Stokes and surrounding counties.Position: Full-time Qualified Professional:Employee must be a Qualified Professional (For more information on Qualified Professionals or Associate Professionals in the state of NC see https://info.ncdhhs.gov/dhsr/mhlcs/faq.html click on Section 5, 10A NCAC 27G .0104 STAFF DEFINITIONS)Job Summary: Provides direct care, supportive counseling, and rehabilitative services for group of client's mental illness as outlined on the Person-Centered Plan. Provides interventions that are strength-based. Focuses on promoting recovery, symptom reduction, increased coping skills and achievement of the highest level of functioning in the community. Duties must be performed according to YHS policies and standards dictated by State guidelines.Qualifications: Minimal requirement is a 4-year college degree in a human service field with either 2 years experience with population served or certification or license from governing board or 4-year degree in another field with 4 years of accumulated experience with population. Basic academic skills to teach skill building activities document and maintain required records for facility (i.e. daily attendance logs, mileage logs, MAR, etc.).
