Scholle IPN is a global packaging company, manufacturing flexible

What We Do
We engineer flexible packaging solutions that reduce waste and
prolong shelf life for many different markets. Our products are
made around the globe-not so we can produce cheaper elsewhere, but
to effectively serve and produce right in the markets where we
operate.We are currently hiring a Purchasing Specialist who is
responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and monitoring
all purchasing activities, involved with the procurement of raw
materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and services that
meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and
reliability of supply.Key Duties and Responsibilities:---
Responsible for negotiating, executing and controlling supplier
contracts and supplier agreements for your assigned location.---
Responsible for supplier audits annually (travel required as
needed).--- Responsible for maintaining the electronic supplier
SCORE Card for all raw material suppliers.--- Design and implement
various cost effective strategies of purchased materials.---
Monitor costs of purchase materials, benchmark with other sites and
ensure achievement of all targets.--- Liaise with internal managers
and outside vendors to anticipate their demand for goods and
materials.--- Evaluate current and alternative sources of
supply.--- Monitor inventory levels; place or release orders as
required.--- Procure all outside piece parts.--- Procure outside
completed assemblies for customer orders.--- Procure and monitor
all nylon and metal film materials for the Lamination
Department.--- Procure all resins and colorants.--- Procure special
resin and film materials for Research & Development.--- Support
Supply Chain and other departments in procurement related
issues.--- Create and maintain purchasing system that provides
annually increasing economic value.--- Responsible for correcting
and/or reporting any potential food safety threats to personnel
with authority to take action.--- Motivate staff to accomplish
common goals and continuously improve from current/past practices
to result in cost reductions, process improvements, and higher
customer satisfaction.Key Duties and Responsibilities:---
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university--- Five
(5) to seven (7) years related experience and/or training,
including supervision of others--- Experience in a manufacturing
environment within the Packaging and/or Plastic Industry is
preferred--- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel--- Proven
Experience with MRP and ERP software systems
