Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for IT help desk
services, technology device deployments and lifecycle management,
end user account management, technology usage training and various
other IT related tasks and projects. This is an internal customer
support position - effective, professional, and supportive
communication with end users of varying technological literacy is
critical.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Provide outstanding customer service to end users.
- Manage internal ticketing system and work trouble tickets to
completion
- Communicate with end users directly to request additional
information regarding their requests, update them on status changes
and seek feedback on IT support services performance
- Maintain detailed notes of troubleshooting process and issue
resolution.
- Train end users on effective and efficient usage of deployed
technology devices, services and processes
- Collaborate with various third-party IT service providers
including outsourcing applicable tickets and scheduling
services
- Manage time efficiently to ensure consistent productivity,
quality and response times
- Manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) system including
deploying / decommissioning devices, updating profiles and
reviewing various monitoring services
- Manage all technology assets and inventory including ordering,
stocking, deploying, assigning and tracking
- Setup / decommission remote construction job site technology
infrastructures (devices, networks, etc.)
- Performs all assigned tasks, responsibilities and related work
processes in the safest possible manner, always ensuring that a
safe, accident/incident-free work environment is maintained for all
coworkers, clients, suppliers, etc. at all times. Education and/or
Experience
- BS or AAS degree in Information Technology or Computer
Science
- 2 - 4 years of progressive experience in field of Information
Technology
- 2 years supporting Windows and iOS devices
- 2 years providing end-user support (OS, Office, Printing &
Scanning, Mobile Devices, etc.)
- A+ Certification (or similar certification / experience)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Solid planning, organizing, and scheduling abilities
- Sound data analysis skills to ensure accuracy
- Strong oral, written and listening communication skills
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Demonstrates unconditional integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions and conflicting
priorities
- Nurtures relationships with vendors, customers and
employees
Working Conditions:
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This
role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers,
phones, printers, scanners and photocopiers.
- Periodically the position will be required to visit various
project sites; while wo rking outdoors, will be exposed to changing
temperatures & weather conditions
