Davidson College seeks a professional to join its athletic development team, as Coordinator of Football Development - Davidson Gridiron Club. Candidates should possess a track record of successful relationship management and a demonstrated ability to expertly discuss the sport of football and the case for annual giving support to football, with a myriad of constituents. This position will manage a portfolio of approximately 250+ prospective and current donors. Responsibilities include developing philanthropic relationships with alumni, parents and friends of Davidson to expand leadership annual and major gift support.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage productive philanthropic relationships with donors capable of making commitments of $10,000 or more.
• Build and manage the annual fundraising revenue of Davidson Football via a combination of electronic and print messaging, as well as volunteer driven initiatives.
• Travel regularly to assigned regions to visit donors and attend football games, and other potential events.
• Conduct a minimum of 150 personal visits annually with major gift prospects to help the Davidson Athletic Fund reach its annual commitment goal, especially related to football.
• Establish and meet measurable annual goals for gift proposal activity.
• Efficiently manage travel logistics and expenses.
• Assist the director in optimizing partnerships and initiatives with the Fund for Davidson, Office of Major Gifts, Office of Planned Giving, Office of Communications, and the Office of Parent Giving, as it relates to Football and the Davidson Gridiron Club.
• Maintain a complete record of all donor interactions using the Blackbaud CRM system.
  Required Qualifications:
  
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
  • Ability to manage projects and initiatives.
