Job Description:

Objectives

• Responsible for the safe operation of various heading machines.
• Operates to ensure effective utilization of machines to maintain production requirements, quality standards and continuously improve the process.
• Product quality parts, on time, in the quantities defined by the production schedule. Principle Duties
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to use micrometers, calipers, comparators, microvu, and other gages as needed.
  • Performs set-up by determining tooling and wire required, and operate various cold forming machines as needed.
  • Follow work instructions minimizing down time.
  • Perform first piece inspection, monitor the quality of all parts, and make adjustments to maintain quality standards.
  • Isolate and segregate all non-conforming product.
  • Performs the duties required to record data for TS16949 documentation.
  • Troubleshoot all mechanical and process problems on the machine and make the required adjustments as needed to correct issues.
  • Performs preventive maintenance as required.
  • Properly fill out production reports and other required forms.
  • Accurately enter data into SAP.
  • Moves material by operating forklift or using non-motorized devices.
  • Ability to meet all post offer testing requirements including background check, drug screen and physical demand of the position.
