*Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting sleep studies and providing comprehensive care to patients experiencing sleep disorders. You will play a crucial role in the diagnostic evaluation process, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis to assist in the treatment of sleep-related issues.*Responsibilities** Conduct polysomnographic studies, including monitoring patients' vital signs and sleep patterns.* Prepare patients for sleep studies by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.* Utilize various diagnostic equipment to collect data on sleep stages, respiratory events, and other physiological parameters.* Analyze and interpret data collected during sleep studies to assist in diagnosing sleep disorders.* Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans based on study results.* Maintain accurate records of patient information, study results, and equipment used.* Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols within the sleep center.* Stay updated on advancements in sleep medicine and related technologies.*Skills** Strong understanding of *sleep medicine* and related diagnostic techniques.* Proficiency in *medical terminology*, particularly as it relates to sleep disorders.* Ability to monitor and assess *vital signs* effectively.* Knowledge of *respiratory therapy* principles as they pertain to sleep studies.* Solid foundation in *physiology knowledge*, particularly regarding sleep cycles and disorders.* Experience conducting *physical examinations* relevant to patient assessments.* Familiarity with *diagnostic evaluation* processes within a clinical setting.* Previous experience working in a *sleep center* is preferred but not mandatory.* Comprehensive understanding of *anatomy knowledge*, especially concerning the respiratory system.*Requirements** Associates Degree* Registered Polysomnographic Technoligist* BCLS Certification from the American Heart Association* 1+ Year of experience preferred* Training in Neurodiagnostic procedures preferredJoin us in making a difference in the lives of individuals struggling with sleep disorders by providing exceptional care and expertise as a Polysomnographic Technologist.Job Types: Full-time, Per diemPay: $24.00 - $36.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Employee discount* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Referral program* Tuition reimbursement* Vision insurance* Wellness programMedical Specialty:* Sleep MedicineSchedule:* 12 hour shift* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Night shiftAbility to Commute:* Hickory, NC 28602 (Required)Work Location: In personby Jobble
