Job Description:
Summary:
The competent Nurse practices independently within a clinical
setting, providing routine and complex care while demonstrating
awareness of all relevant aspects of each situation. Performs
long-term planning, manages contingencies, and delegates tasks to
care providers to ensure effective patient care. Meets competency
standards such as self-leadership and team leadership. Utilizes the
nursing process-----"assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention,
and evaluation-----"to deliver patient care. Addresses
psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients
and families appropriately. Administers medications and treatments
following protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
Documents patient information accurately and provides education to
patients, families, and caregivers. Requires a Bachelor's degree in
Nursing (preferred), at least 1 year of related experience, BLS
certification, and an active RN license in the state or under a
compact agreement.
